Bassem Ben Cheikh, PhD
Tixomics™ was founded in 2024 by Dr. Bassem Ben Cheikh, CEO, who brings over a decade of experience in biomedical image analysis, bioinformatics, and digital pathology. His work spans artificial intelligence, spatial biology, and the development of tools for multiplex immunofluorescence and high-dimensional single-cell analysis.
Prior to founding Tixomics™, he was a Senior Data Scientist and Technical Group Lead at Akoya Biosciences, where he built and led a team focused on computational solutions for spatial proteomics. His work contributed to image processing pipelines, bioinformatics workflows, and the PhenoCycler™-Fusion platform, in collaboration with leading research, biotech, and pharmaceutical partners.
He founded Tixomics™ to address the need for scalable, practical software for spatial multiomics analysis.
